Academic Publishing & Editing Providers
Since 2012, I have worked in the pool of editors for the academic publishing and editing providers below. I have edited literally hundreds of academic papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals, as well as conference speeches, internal reports and responses to reviewers’ comments.

Testimonials from Compuscript
Your time, expertise and professionalism are very much appreciated by the team here and by our clients. Any organisation would be lucky to have you in their pool of editors. We at Compuscript certainly appreciate having you on board!
I wanted to let you know that the QC editor who reviewed your recent edit of paper xxxxx remarked that it was ‘Some of the best editing I’ve ever QC’d.‘ You’ve provided a very thorough edit of this difficult text.
I have also provided academic services for individual student and academic clients working on Master’s and PhD theses, and journal papers.
Working with Paul was a pleasure. His feedback went beyond basic error-checking, providing clear insights not only on coherence and flow but also on broader considerations that greatly enhanced the quality of my manuscript. Thanks to his constructive suggestions, the overall quality of my scientific article improved significantly. I can highly recommend Paul for thoughtful and effective proofreading. Thank you, Paul!
Nadine, Revise Me, The Netherlands
Paul’s editing skills are truly commendable. With his expertise, our document has been significantly streamlined, now standing at a concise 1616 words. He has the ability to condense complex information while maintaining clarity. Thanks to Paul’s edits, the document now flows smoothly and is much more digestible for our audience. We appreciate his attention to detail and his talent for distilling content without losing any key information.

I have addressed all the comments and also made changes in some instances. My gratitude to the editor for his sterling guidance and support. I am exceedingly impressed by his palpable scholarship and thorough engagement with the text. Thanking you kindly for all your efforts.

Other Services
In addition to this, for several years I authored a topical science column for the Express & Star newspaper, the 2nd largest circulation daily newspaper in the UK. Since moving to South Africa, I continued this work through blogs for businesses and local organisations and cover current issues, such as this post for a Simons Town community organisation on cell phone radiation.
I have also provided direct editing and writing services to many organisations alongside my academic editing role. Some of these include:
World Trade Press
Content writing for the Global Road Warrior series, for example, a Country Snapshot for Estonia.
I finally had a conversation with our publisher regarding your Education article. We were both very impressed, and he’d like you to complete three more for us, with the possibility of many more after that if you’re interested. Your template is good and we are certainly pleased you’re on board!
Michelle Deveraux (Editor)
Baobab Travel
Writing of travel blogs, for example, the West Coast Flower Extravaganza.
Conservation Action Trust
Writing and publishing conservation news for the South African digital media, for example, this news article published in GroundUp raising alarm over the state of provincial nature reserves.
I really enjoyed your article, despite the unfortunate message. It has produced email comments from our readers that drives your point home quite nicely. Thank you for your contribution to GroundUp.
Grethen de Waal (Communications Officer)
Masicorp
As a part-time Director of Communications for Masicorp (a South African educational NGO), I was responsible for writing and editing services, including initiating and writing all the content for their blog site and annual reports, for example, their 2017 annual report.
Great stuff on all the blog posts, they read really well. I think it makes a big difference having you there on the ground to put on interesting, engaging posts of events just after they’ve happened. This is what we’ve always struggled to do ‘from afar’, so it’s great to see such an improvement already.
